Hello,
I'm a great Nephew of Harold Le Noury. He served in the RCAF and was killed in action along with his fellow crew mates on Nov.2 1944 while returning from a bombing raid over Dusseldorf Germany which included roughly 1000 heavy bombers from Bomber Command. Their Halifax bomber crashed in a small village of Jalhay Belgium where a family there has been hosting Commemoration Ceremonies since 1951 in honour of the aircew and those who helped liberate their land.
My Great Uncle Harold served as the Navigator, Robert Pike as Pilot, Gordon Judges as Wireless Operator, Vernon Lazier as Bomb Aimer, William Hanes as Mid-Upper Gunner, William Lankin as Rear Gunner and Edward Payne as Flight Engineer.
For more information please visit my YouTube site to see a Tribute video I did to honour the crew and the family who has not forgotten their supreme sacrifice.

Sincerely,

Bryan Naylor
